GLOSSYBOX REVIEW MAY

Sunday, 12 June 2016

Time for another glossybox catch up, so this month's review is for the box I received in May. I really enjoyed the products in this box, it was as if they were picked just for me. This month's box was also designed differently as well, the idea behind these collective boxes is that they are dedicated to favourite urban destinations.

So the 1st item I picked out the box was a little extra, and it was the proper corn popcorn in the flavour sweet & salty. Not my favourite flavour if I am honest but it was great to receive a little extra in this month's box. I must admit I did actually go through a phase of buying the coconut & vanilla flavour as well a few months back. so yummy. Definitely give it a try if you like a sweeter flavour.

OK so on to actual beauty products, the first one being the Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser. This cream is amazing, so this is a youth enhancing moisturiser which plumps and firms the skin. It helps hydrate the skin leaving a lovely glow too. This moisturiser has also won CEW Beauty awards in 2015 so I was even more excited to try it this month.

I've been using this every morning after cleansing, and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and it smells divine too, I've enjoyed using it that much I have even purchased a full size tube. (yay) Oh and the best thing is that it is made by British bees. How great is that, something that is actually made in Britain! I would definitely recommend trying out this cream if you struggle with dry skin!!

OK so next up in the box was something I was quite interested in using, it is the Loceryl Nail Gel. Now I'm not that impressed with it if I'm honest, I said in my unboxing video that if it worked well for me I wouldn't mind paying the price for it as this is £16.99 for full size. I just didn't see a difference in using it. I mean I don't have discoloured nails so that wasn't a problem for me it was more that it didn't help with nail growth or damaged nails. Before using this product I had gels on my nails and after removing them my nails can become a little weak and dry. So I thought this might work wonders for me, but I'm afraid to say it really made no difference. At least I can say Ive tried it but I wont be re-purchasing this one!

So we have the Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy Cream. So I cant grumble at this one, I already one of these hand therapy creams. I have the La source cream (in a plain blue tube). I love the packaging for all of these creams and they are easy to keep in your handbag. The sent I received in my Glossybox was the Somerset Meadow, its smells gorgeous very floral and I can honestly say it just reminds of times I used to go on walks with the parents through woodland areas with all the wild flowers. This sinks into the skin beautifully without leaving a greasy finish.

I do struggle with dry hands sometimes so hand cream is a must for me, so now I have 2 hand creams from this brand and they certainly last a while too so I haven't even found myself having to spend a lot on them, great eh?

Next we have the Velvet Lippie from Absolute New York. So I wasn't a fan of this lip product this month. It is way to creamy for me and I didn't like the fact it doesn't set into place. I understand its a lip cream but I felt like I had to keep applying more product because every time I spoke or drank a drink or ate something it felt like it had gone off my lips, this could be down to the fact it is a moose like texture. However saying that this lip cream is extremely pigmented, the colour I received was RUMBA - AVL01. It is a pinkish nude colour which is a perfect shade for the spring/summer season.

Lastly my favourite product from this month's box Revlon Ultimate All In One Mascara. When I saw these mascara's launch, I was close to picking one up until I received an email from Glossybox asking to pick one for the next month's box. I was thinking that email couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I had a little look through which mascara did what job and the one I went for was the ultimate all in one. I picked this one mainly because the size of the brush appealed to me. I have said plenty of times before that no matter what mascara I use it always runs throughout the day and I have no idea why! I cant be the only one with this problem surely?

The brush is just perfect you can cover all of your top & bottom lashes covered without getting mascara everywhere, this is perfect if you have small eyes or short eyelashes. It gives great length and volume without having that clumpy spider look. I'm a huge fan of this mascara, its up there with the benefit roller lash mascara.

That is everything I received in my May Glossybox and my thoughts on everything, want to see me unbox everything and see my 1st impressions, watch it here

What products did you receive for May and what was your favourite?

Catch up soon guy's

Byeeee x
