GLOSSYBOX REVIEW FEBRUARY!

Sunday, 13 March 2016

Hi guy's so today's post is the monthly review on Glossybox. So I was really impressed with February's box, some really exciting goodies inside.

The box for February was based around valentines as you can tell by the design of the box. It is a really pretty box with a lovely design and quote "Love is in the air".

The first product I picked up out of the box was the Vintage Cosmetic Company tweezers. I have heard of this company before and seen their products about, what makes me remember them is how the packaging of each product is designed so well, so I was very excited to receive something from them. So the tweezers are well made, really sturdy and well designed. The floral print is really pretty and you definitely wont loose these in your make-up/travel bag as they sure do stand out. Just be warned because they are brand new the tweezers are sharp to start with but it did mean I was able to get those little stray hairs out to give my brows a more defined shape.
You can pick these tweezers up for £8.00 here

The second product in the beauty box is the Naobay protective hair mask volume conditioner. So if you use a lot of heat on your hair it's good to use a hair mask to give your hair some good TLC. The great thing about this hair mask is that you only have to leave it on your hair for 3 minutes, so if your in a little bit more of a rush and cant spend as much time in the bath as what you want to, then this is perfect! The only thing I will say is that I don't think this is the perfect hair mask for me as it helps to add density and volume to you hair, and to be honest I really don't need to add anymore of that to mine as I get enough of that without having to add products. However if you have fine hair or flat hair I would say it's worth giving it a try, It did leave my hair super soft after using it. The hair mask also has organically grown Shea butter and argan oil, all good ingredients to keep your hair silky smooth! The best thing about receiving this, It's full size at 200ml. :)

Next up is the Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Razor. So I must admit I was a bit surprised when I took this out of the box, I never expected to get a razor, but hey I did. So I said in my latest glossybox video that I wasn't too sure about this as I actually buy the cheap razor's that you can get in a pack of 5 or something like that, reason being is that I find the blades become blunt quickly so I get fed up of paying for new razor's or blades all the time. (strange I know). But Ive got to admit I LOVE THE WILKINSON SWORD RAZOR!! Using this razor has definitely taught me to actually spend more on a good quality razor. why??
It has left my skin super smooth as it has a water-activated bar, which has a moisturising serum infused with marine extracts and Shea butter around the blades, I haven't cut myself at all, and it leaves my skin really hydrated, where as the cheap razors I used to buy left my skin quite dry, also the razor has a rubber grip handle making it easier to hold, and also comes with a little plastic hook that you can attach to your tiles above the bath so it has it's own little home :)
You can pick this up for £8.00 here

The next product is a make-up piece and that is the Nicka K New York 24hr Waterproof Eyeliner. I was that excited to use this product, so after filming my unboxing video for this month, I applied this product to my eyes straight away. Strangely I've never used a brown eyeliner so I was intrigued to see what it looked like on my eyes. So this is a waterproof eyeliner which comes with a little blender on the other side of the stick, but there is a little extra, it also has a built in sharpener. wow!
So I found this really easy to apply to my eyes, I also managed to create a really nice cat eye flick too, and I found it lasted most of the day too. The only thing I would say about this product is that the blender is a little hard, when I used it to smudge under my eye a little bit it felt as if I was scraping the product it would be much easier if the blender was made a little softer.
Pick this up for £3.99 (UK) here

The last product that came in the box is the MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss. Now you all know by now that I am not the biggest fan of lip gloss, and unfortunately I hate to say it, but I'm not a fan of this lip product at all. If you watched my latest Glossybox video you will have probably guessed that already. The shade i received was Rapture, don't get me wrong the colour is nice but the actual product I didn't like. I found the consistency to thick and it stayed quite tacky for a while. I also found colour didn't really show up on my lips that well either. However the applicator has been made well as it's a brush so it makes the product easy to apply.
That is just my opinion so why not try for yourself and see what you think, you can pick these up for £3.50 in different shades too here

So that's all the products that came in February's box, like I said some good products in there. Hope guy's enjoyed reading this weeks post. If your interested in trying out Glossybox here is the link Glossybox
