A favourite part of the wedding planning for sure in my thoughts. Why?

This is where you really get to find out about yourself and your style. (In my opinion you do anyway). You get to search the web for lots of decor ideas, bridesmaid colours, invites etc. I also think its what really brings your ideas together and starts put things in a real place.

It did take me a little while to discover what our theme would be and what suits us both. My thinking behind our theme is our guest's will look at the decor and realise that this is what my fiancé and I are about.

Our theme and colour scheme started from trying to find a wedding planner that we would enjoy sticking ideas into and happy to show off. Our wedding planner has the colours that we have chosen apart from just one colour which it doesn't have included but that's fine!

I love pastel/shabby chic colours. Think Cath Kidston as well, the creams, pinks, pale green and blues & greys! yup that's me all over!! I dream to have that farmhouse, shabby chic home one day, that is my sort of style. My fiancé loves anything Barbour related, really enjoys the old style films and TV shows, he was recently obsessed about the series Peaky Blinders. Our colours that we have chosen (well I made the final decision on this one) are duck egg blue, dusky pink, gold and a whitish cream. They may sound a little complicated but trust me on this one!!

Find  the colours that you associate yourselves with the most, i.e what colours you choose to wear a lot of the time, colours you use in your home. If your partner is very much involved in the planning as you are then use their favourite colours too. My partner is involved but not so much when it comes to having the perfect colours for the big day.

To be honest when we first spoke it all he wanted a colour that he described as a football club... He loved the idea of Anfield Red (his words). When we first decorated our bedroom it was that colour we chose, it didn't stay that way for long it was just too much!! So when it came to deciding on the colour for our wedding I just couldn't agree, so I got to choose the colours. :)

Another thing to consider is the season. If your getting married in the winter, red is a gorgeous colour to use, it's got that warm Christmas feeling!!

As we are getting married in the summer, we thought lighter pastel colours would work much better. (while I'm writing this I am actually hoping we have lovely weather for June next year, because right now its raining and its the 1st week in June).

Next up is deciding if your having a theme to your wedding, which is something not everybody will pick. You can just stick with the colours of your choice and keep everything a bit more simple, or you can go a little bit further with choice's and have a theme to your big day.

We hadn't even really discussed a theme to our wedding at all, we were just working on colours at the time. It wasn't until we went to a wedding fayre with my mum that we had realised that the ideas we were coming up with regarding groomsmen suits, flowers, table decor, invites etc. They all had a certain theme to them, it was my mum that actually said "I think you both have a theme starting to come together".

So yes we have now decided for sure what our theme is for our wedding and this suits both of our personality's. If you've seen my Pinterest board then you've probably already guessed what the theme is but for those of you who maybe haven't seen we have decided with a Vintage/shabby chic feel to the wedding.

After our experience so far unless you know for sure what your theme is, don't worry about it too much, because the more you browse around at different ideas for your decor, stationary etc that's when themes start to run through your mind and come to you naturally. That's what happened to us anyway!!

And remember you don't have to call it a theme at all, at the end of the day... Its you and you're fiance's day and its all about what you both want!!

I think if you take one thing from this... a little idea lets say...

Get yourself and your fiance either on your laptops and phones and both browse through wedding ideas and start saving ideas that your instantly drawn to and love the idea of. Say after a half hour or longer or even over a few days both sit down and show each what you've come up with, you then start to get excited about what you both love and see your perfect day start to come together, trust me this works. Think of it as a fun way of brainstorming together, try not to get worked up about the possibility that you both might have different ideas... you can include little things from both of your ideas!!

If you would rather not use phones or laptops then get the wedding magazines out and get cutting and making mood boards or use wedding planners. We have used both ideas, we have my Pinterest boards and we also have a wedding planner that we have cut ideas out of and stuck them in!! :)

Anyway guy's that's everything for this post, I hope you've enjoyed reading and either taken some tips again or just happy to follow our diary!!

Have any of you guy's got a theme? Did you find it easy to pick your wedding colours??

WEDDING DIARY | CHOOSING A THEME & COLOUR SCHEME

I thought that this part of the wedding planning would be the easiest part, turns out I was wrong. We have now finalised our guest list, although there is still that chance that one or two may be added on yet but its pretty much complete.

We kept going back and forth to this list for a while because it was just too hard to try and get done in one go, choosing who should be invited to the day and who to the evening part, especially if your trying to keep cost down as well, as any bride and groom to be will know this part is basically where your budget can go out the window if your not careful.

To make things easier for us to keep track of everybody invited we have made a excel spreadsheet. I know professional eh?? For me it is anyway, that was my fiancé's idea! For now we have written the brides side and the grooms side so we can get and idea how many family members and friends we have on each side. Trust me this actually helped us decide who should be there for the day/evening.

Pinterest and wedding forums are definitely your friend when trying to get some advice on this part, I've spent hours looking for a bit of guidance as to keeping guests to the right amount without going to crazy.

A lot of people have said to us that you should share your ceremony with the people you are closest to, and mean a lot to you. This made a lot of sense as they are the most important people in our lives. Don't get me wrong if you have an unlimited budget invite everybody that you want, but if you are trying to keep that budget low then just stick to inviting the most treasured friends and family for the ceremony.(That might sound harsh, but trust me you'll understand what I mean!)

So by looking out our excel sheet we put a mark next to the guest we want to share the day with and who we want to share the evening with. We kept going back the list everyday to make sure we were happy with the decision. We then broke the list down to Groom Side, Day & Night and the same with bride side.

Obviously on the day we want our guest's to come together and get to know everybody so we will encourage everyone to sit on either sides of the aisle at the ceremony, but the list just enables us to see all of the guests on each side.

Oh and a little tip If you do try the excel way ... Next your guest, if they have a role in the wedding jot it down next to their name! I find this helps if you have you have family checking through your guest list to help you out they can get an idea of who is doing what!!

Something else which we found helpful when it came to deciding on some guests I will leave below, this was the biggest help, there was no umms and arrrs!! It was just simple....

I have this also saved to my wedding hints & tips Pinterest board here

That's pretty much my experience with deciding the guest list for our wedding, I hope bits from this post has helped you in some way or you have just enjoyed following our wedding diary so far. If there are any bride or grooms to be let me know how your getting on with your plans so far?

WEDDING DIARY | DECIDING ON THE GUEST LIST

So the wedding plans have begun....

After announcing our engagement in November 2016 plans have slowly started coming together and it is beginning to feel more real. Wow OK so I feel happy in telling you the date for our wedding day. So we have decided our date will be 30th June 2018.

We thought 18 months from our engagement was a good amount of time to plan and save for the big day, and just enjoy being engaged too as lets be honest once the wedding plans start it can be very stressful at times, so I think having plenty of time to relax and plan at the same time is definitely some good advice.

A bit of advice for helping you come to a decision with a suitable date for your big day -

Think of the weather/season, maybe look at what the weather was like the year before especially if your thinking about an outdoor wedding.
Obviously you cant guarantee the weather will be perfect but this will definitely help you come closer to choosing a month.

Choosing the date was a little bit harder for us but we simply chose the end of the month because its nearer to pay day for a lot of people (not all but most) and seeing as a lot of our guest will be using accommodation in our venue it can help towards cost.

I know that this day is all about the bride & groom but I discussed this with my fiancé and I would like my guests to feel comfortable and happy so why not make it a little easier for them too.

Another part of our day we have sorted is our venue, I think personally this is big part of the wedding plans you should concentrate on getting completed in your first stage as we all know a lot of places get booked up very quickly and you want to be sure its the place you can see you and your fiancé spending your day at.

I am not going to be sharing the venue in this post but I will include it at some point along the way in my wedding journal.

We decided after a few chats that we didn't want to be married in a church and that we wanted to hold everything together in one venue, as this is easier for a lot of our guests and it also means we can save some money by not needing any transport for the day.

So we had a look at several different venues which were all beautiful places, and we had considered one but still had one viewing left at another place in a small town about 20 minuets away from our home.

I knew this was the place after a couple of minuets of being there, when we were shown around the venue and accommodation I had a few tears and my fiancé just looked at me and his words were "This is the one isn't it?"
(Honestly the place is just beautiful, as soon as we walked around different parts of the venue I could see myself getting married there!! It's perfect!!)

With that we had a long chat with the wedding coordinator and discussed our ideal date, and the sort of day we wanted and we had reserved the date. After a couple of weeks we took both sets of parents to show them around and to gather their thoughts on the place which was all positive so with that we have now paid the deposit for the day and we now have that venue booked for our whole wedding day. Yay!

I will leave this post at just talking about the date and venue as I could really go on and on, but I hope you enjoy following us on our wedding planning journey. I cant wait to share more chats with you!!

If you cant wait for the next post, keep an eye out on my wedding inspiration board on Pinterest. I will link it below!! There's some ideas I have gathered together.

WEDDING DIARY | CHOOSING THE DATE & VENUE

Okay so I have had a good few weeks to review March Glossy box and I must say I m pretty impressed with the products, lets first look at the box ....

What do you think? Looks fab doesn't it?

The answer is yes! I have really enjoyed using the products from this months box.

Lets start with the oOlution Eye cream

This is said to help reduce dark circles and bags with the help from its natural ingredients. I have been using this everyday, morning and night. Its actually been a long time since I last used a eye cream so often. I will admit that this cream has helped brighten my eye area a little bit but I naturally have dark circles and upper lids so they are still dark to me, but I have noticed a little bit of difference. The main change I feel this product has helped with is actually moisturising my eye are. My skin feels super smooth and my concealer seems to be gliding on much easier after I have applied this cream and a small amount really does go a long way so I still have plenty of this left and has been a good few weeks!!

This one of my favourites from this box, we have This Works - In Transit Camera Close Up Primer

A mouthful right? However that doesn't bother me one bit as I have loved this product so much, so this is a primer and moisturiser in 1. This is perfect for quick get up and go look, why?
Well after a quick clean of my face I apply a good amount of this all over my face and neck and then pop a little bit of foundation and i have that natural dewy look. It means if I am in a rush in a morning which is normal for a lot of us. It makes those 2 moisturising and priming steps faster because its a multi action in just one product! Perfect!!

Firstly as a moisturiser this is fantastic, I love how this makes my skin feel each time, this product has their bio-boost which is a blend of their anti-oxidant plant oils which helps to rebuild and protect the skin barrier. I can honestly say this is helping my skin to look a lot more youthful, by brightening and tightening. My skin looks more radiant and much healthier. I am honestly shocked at how much I am enjoying this product.

That is just about the moisturising aspects, this also works as a primer and boy does this help keep my make up in place and last a lot longer than normal. My makeup glides onto my skin beautifully and recently I have had a few compliments on how my make up application has been looking and that is purely thanks to this little gem. It helps give my foundation more of a dewy glow which a lot of primers don't do very well. Oh and if you didn't already know Victoria Beckham uses this so how could you possibly say no to this when her skin looks so dreamy!!

I would just like to point out this is more of a luxury skincare product so if you don't mind a little bit of a splurge this is something you should try. I have linked the page above the picture in the title so you can head over and take a look but so you know now it is £30

OK, so lets move on, that was a long review on just that one product eh.. (sorry about that)

So this is the Crabtree and Evelyn Somerset Meadow Hand cream

This is my 3rd tube of this Brands hand cream, I received one as a gift one Christmas and then 2 of these creams from Glossy box. Each time I have enjoyed using these as they are super moisturising and scented so beautifully. This particular scent is very floral hence then name (Somerset Meadows). These creams are infused with Shea butter and macadamia nut oil so as you can imagine they are very hydrating so if you have rough hands this is the cream for you to try.

The other great benefit to this cream is the size, this is perfect to carry around in your handbag but bright enough to see if its buried beneath all your bits and bobs, oh and also very reasonably priced!!

This is another favourite of mine from this box, it is the Schwarzkopf Blond Me Keratin Restore Bonding Shampoo

First let me just start off by saying this shampoo isn't just for blondes, as some of you may already no that I don't have blonde hair. OK so the packaging is gorgeous whats better than gold?? Beautiful!

This has been leaving my hair super smooth and smelling gorgeous I love it when you have dried your hair and you can still smell the scents from your shampoo's and conditioner's. This shampoo I can smell all day, the best way I can describe this is think of that smell after you've left the hair salon and you swoosh you hair about and all you can smell is the products they have used.... yeh its that sort of smell this shampoo leaves me with!!
This helps cleanse the hair and also create new bonds within the hairs fibres by strengthening any weakened areas of the hair, so its a real luxury restoring shampoo. You can also pick up the shampoo to match the shampoo so be sure to check those out.

The final product is this cute palette, it is the Sleek Eye And Cheek Palette.

This is such a pretty spring/summer palette, the light colours are so natural but with a hint of glow and highlight. I have been really enjoying using the two orange shades on my lids recently. There are also 2 beautiful blushers in the palette, one a very baby pink, and the other is a highlighter/blush but to be honest I have been using it as a highlighter as it isn't very pink toned. ( The shade in the top left corner).

This palette is a great kit for beginners make up as the shades are not highly pigmented so no need to worry about any obvious mistakes but they are beautiful colours for a subtle day look. This palette is available in a few other different so be sure to check the link above and check those out.

And that is March's Glossy box, I hope you all enjoyed the read..
What have you been loving from the box?
Have you subscribed to any subscription boxes before??

Oh and if you want to see me open everything watch below :)

I want to talk about my recent spot saviour as I have been suffering badly with deep under the skin spots that have been very painful, red and incredibly dry. I do get these sort of spots occasionally but this tends to be hormonal near to the dreaded monthly cycle :(

However I have been under a lot of stress recently, and had a bit of a low point so I think this had a lot to do with my skin being at its worst yet!!

These spots seemed to gather around my chin and the top of my forehead, although the chin was most definitely the worst area. So I know its normal for our skin to have bad moments and I fully get that, so I don't get myself in a tizz about it because they have to take their course but there are products out there that can help towards a faster recovery. Not just products help but diet, exercise etc.

So this post is about a face mask that I received a while back in one of my Glossy boxes, January 2016 to be exact. So when I first started using this I wasn't struggling with bad skin apart from a small amount of dry patches around my nose, but that was it.

I have said before that this product is great, its a thin watery consistency (more water based) so it feels super refreshing and soothing when applying to the face. I have been using this 2 times a week for the past few week, it has taken a bit of time for my skin to react but its getting so much better now. So after removing all my make up I apply this to a cleansed a face and leave on for 10 minutes and wash of with warm water and this gentle exfoliating pad, this is super easy to remove there is no need for harsh rubbing as its a super thin & clear mask.

This helps to regenerate new skin cells, and keep the skin hydrated and nourished. I have really been able to see a difference in the improvement of my skin being repaired. An area on my chin was the worst and my skin was so sore and dry and after the first couple of applications the skin started to repair itself and areas of dry flaky patches are slowly disappearing. One of the ingredients in this product is Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, now we all know that aloe is so good for your body, but when it comes to the skin it helps to reduces dry or damaged skin and helps restore suppleness.

This also helps remove impurities, its sometimes thought that when a product is said to help remove impurities it will simply stop them coming out, or just get rid of them completely. But in my eyes the products help to remove by drawing them out from the skin, which doesn't mean the spot will go away instantly it has to get worse before getting better, like a lot of things. So while using this mask my under the skin spots did come to the surface and then have gradually been disappearing.

So to give you an idea as to what I have been dealing with I've attached a picture.
(I am sorry if this is not what you want to see)

This may not seem too bad to some people as you might be someone who struggles a lot more than me but please be aware that I am just sharing my experience with a product that has helped my skin in some way.

And this is after a few weeks of using the Dermo defence mask, so my skin is slowly improving thanks to its help.

I would highly recommend this mask if your sensitive to a lot of other masks out there as  this is designed for sensitive skin, it isn't to fragranced so it doesn't feel harsh on the face. If you just want a light pampering mask for a male or female then this is certainly worth a go and you will see a difference in the appearance of your skin. You only have to see by the photos!!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this and seeing the improvement, leave comments below of any other product recommendations that you may have used yourselves!

MY SPOT SAVIOUR..

So I have decided to write about my favourite skin care products for this month, I love all skincare products anything to help my skin out by hydrating, reduce spots & impurities. I have combination oily skin so I always find a lot of different products available but only so many work that I have tried so far.

So you want to know what products I use right?

I am going to go through the 3 steps - Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise.

1. Cleanse..

I have been using 2 products to cleanse my skin and remove make up, I find this works for me really well because it really helps removes any make up and dirt (dirt I know sounds odd but from being out all day your skin does collect this).

To start with I remove all of my make up with the Garnier Micellar cleansing gel wash, believe me when I say you only need a small amount so don't over do it with this product.

Dampen your face with a splash of warm water and apply one pump into the palm of your hand rub into the skin for a good minute or so, making sure your really working the product into the skin. Grab a damp flannel / muslin cloth and gently wipe the product away, this will then take the makeup away from your skin. Be gentle around the eye and lip area try not to drag the skin.

This micellar gel wash is gentle on the skin, I will admit that the 1st time I used this I applied a little too much so when I used it around my eyes it sting a small amount, but further applications I used a lot less and it was fine after that. So just remember not to use a lot! This smells incredible as well, not chemically at all.

For a second cleanse I use the MOA green cleansing balm with bamboo cloth. 'Oh my' this is an amazing product for the skin. It helps boost hydration back into the skin especially around any dry patches. It has great healing powers to this cleanser, it helps with scars, bumps, bites and grazes. This is basically a repair balm this is why I use this as the 2nd cleanse because after removing make up any blemishes and scars underneath my makeup this has been helping my skin get back to youthful stage. It really is the bomb!!

You get the bamboo face cloth with this, which feels amazing on the skin!! It has a soft side and then what feels like an exfoliating side. With this product you only need a small amount again, I simply take a dab of this and rub all over my face making sure all dry patches are covered too. After all the product is rubbed into the skin, get your bamboo cloth using the exfoliating side get it under a hot tap and then rub gently over your face and then go back over with the softer side and cold water. DONE!!

After using this product my skin feels so refreshed and hydrated and it feels nourished again. Definitely worth purchasing this one if you have ever struggled with acne or just scars in general it will help reduce them for sure, the tea-tree and yarrow is what helps heal the skin.

2. Lets tone..

I love the brand Pixi and I know that a lot of bloggers will have tried the Pixi glow tonic so I knew I had to join the band waggon with this one. I have been using this toner for a while now and I love it soo much!!

This helps to brighten my skin after cleansing, it instantly feels refreshing. It is also a exfoliating toner so it helps remove dead skin cells from the surface. You only need a few drops of this onto a cotton pad to apply to your whole face, and this also helps diminish scars and sun damage with applying it morning and night every day.

It is suitable for all skin types so there is no need to say no to this product.

3. Time to moisturise..

This will forever be my all time favourite moisturiser, I have spoken about this in a few of my favourite videos on my youtube channel. Its the Bee Good Plump & Firm Youth Enhancing Moisturiser.

I really do adore this product, the quality is fantastic and the brand is known for using all natural ingredients such as Honey, British Propolis, Shea butter etc. I have actually just finished this so I do need to pick another one up. Again with this cream you only need a pea sized amount which is plenty to use across your face and neck area.

This is for all skin types again, and I have said before you really need to try this if you haven't already, it has so many benefits some of which are;
  • Instantly plumps and firms the skin
  • Softens the look of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Leaves skin looking instantly refreshed and hydrated
  • Skins looks dewy
  • Leaves you with youthful luminosity
What more could you want from a moisturiser!! Oh and just incase you hadn't noticed this product has won the CEW Beauty awards for 2015.

FEBRURARY SKINCARE FAVOURITES / 1.2.3 STEP

Anyone else agree with me that February has just flown by? I feel like I've missed out on so much because its passed so fast!!

So lets just start with the fact that February's box was designed around it being the month of Love (Valentines day). The box was beautifully designed, I think the best by far.

What do you think? Appeal to you?

Yess.... I thought so!

OK so I can tell you now I am in love with every single product from this box, that's the 1st for a while, there is a real variety this time. Skincare, Haircare, Nails, Makeup and Perfume. I mean what more could you ask for!

Lets start with this gorgeous scented perfume from Jeanne Arthes. So the name will give you an idea as to what this perfume smells like. The name -  L'Eau de Rose.

As you may have guessed, yes this is a perfume that smells like rose! The in fragrance right now! A very floral sent but not too overpowering. I have been finding this a perfect daytime sent, it isn't a super long lasting perfume but Ideal for a quick refresh during the day. If you love the smell of fresh flowers this will be perfect for you and it is just the right size to fit into any handbag!!

How about a bit of make up now. Here is the Beat the blues skin illuminator by the brand MeMeMe. I thought this would be my least favourite out of the box and if you saw my unboxing video you will see why, however my mind has been changed. I LOVE IT!!

So this is in the colour Oyster Gold, I know looks a little dark but believe me it isn't. You can use this as either a illuminator or a highlighter its up to you. For me I have been using it as a illuminator together with my foundation application and oh boy does it work.

I simply dot this on my forehead, cheek bones down the centre of my nose and my chin, and then simply blend it together with my foundation. This leaves my skin looking dewy with a slight glow. To explain it a bit easier, think about this... Your on holiday and your getting ready to go out at night, you have a beautiful golden tan and you apply a small amount of foundation as your face already has that summer glow, well that is how this illuminator looks on my skin. I mix this with my Clinique Beyond Perfection concealer & foundation and just looks perfect.

Most definitely worth a purchase in my eyes and isn't all that expensive either, trust me this is must to add to your make up collection.

Skincare now, and this is the Noir Eternae Youth Potion, Face Scrub by the brand La Theorie Des Volcans.

At first I didn't quite grasp the idea of the face scrub, so my idea was that you left this on the skin and from the pink application it would then turn grey as it dried onto your skin. WRONG! That isn't how it is supposed to work.

So as you rub this mask into the skin it will gradually turn grey as it gets to work, which is something I'm really enjoying. Its a bit of fun added into my skincare regime. This helps to remove dead skin cells and help reduce impurities and redness which I have just started to notice a difference in my skin. The only thing I have noticed with this scrub is the texture is more like a clay paste which I find unusual for scrub, but also interesting because it really does feel like its working and my skin is thanking me for using it so I am happy!! Oh and just to add smells incredible too.

Haircare next - yes??

OK so this is the Honey Strength Restorer Balm by Garnier.

Firstly can I just say how cute the size of this is!! I have tried the Garnier Ultimate blends shampoo & Conditioner and I didn't get on with that very well so I was a bit sceptical about trying this. I tried this just under a week ago now and I only got one use out of it, but I do have super thick hair so that could be why, however if you have thin hair you will definitely get more than one use out of it.

This hair care product smells gorgeous, made with Royal Jelly, Propolis and Honey. After the one use with this product my hair was left lovely and smooth and hydrated. I simply applied this to the middle to end lengths of my hair and left on for about 7mins. Its recommended to leave on for 1-5mins, however my hair is very thick so leaving it on for those few extra minutes just helps to a healthier look. Personally I don't think this is a product I would go out and buy again only reason being is that there are so many brands that offer similar products.

Finally time to see some nail products. This is the Ciate London Paint pot in Iced Frappe.

Oh the colour, the packaging, and the quality!! TOP MARKS HERE!!

I love this nail polish I can understand why these polishes are little more on the pricey side, the quality of the polish is brilliant, it applies beautifully and sits well on the nails. I love the brush applicator its fits the shape of my nails really well making application even easier.

The colour is gorgeous, its a pink/nude shade and after 2 coats its perfectly coated and leaves a gel like shine, and so far this hasn't chipped. (I have been wearing for 3 days)

Also lastly can we just appreciate the packaging, you get 13.5ml which is a great amount of polish and a cute little bow on the front of the bottle, I think this just adds a little something extra!!!!

Right that is everything I received in the February Glossy box. I love the products in this box nothing has actually disappointed me so I highly recommend you go out and pick these up!

What do would you go out and purchase after seeing the products?

If you want to see me open February's box here it is, take a watch and I will talk to you soon!

Its a new year for Glossybox .... lets see what was inside?

So January's box was the signature pink and black box, apart from this time the inside of lid has written "You can't milk an almond". I will be honest I am not sure I quite understand this quote so if you do, please share!!!

So January's box wasn't a great start to the year, it was OK but not amazing, but lets get into the products!

So I received the 3 Hairon plastic spiral hair ties. I've received these before in a box and I do love these so I knew I wouldn't have a problem with them it was just a difference in colour this time. I love the colour, my hair does have a hint of purple and pink in and they sit nicely within my hair. They are designed to leave your hair kink free and reduce snags to the hair. These work really well, my hair doesn't snap as easily when I take these out compared to standard hair ties. My hair is quite thick and if I leave these in all day they don't leave my hair completely kink free but they do help in some way so you cant really go wrong with these.

This is by far my favourite beauty product from this months box, It's always nice to receive a higher end make up product and I do love the Balm. So this is one of the individual eyeshadow from the Meet Matt(e) Trimony palette. This particular shade is called Matte Kumar and it is a beautiful deep burgundy colour. The pigmentation is deep and matte. It blends perfectly for either a natural or smoky look, and you can use these either wet or dry.
I can highly recommend The Balm Cosmetics eyeshadow's as I already own the Nude'tude palette and the colours are incredible.

So this Kale fix moisturising cream from the brand Nip & Fab is something I'm still trying to get used to, I am not sure if its working well with my skin right now. Its smells really healthy if that even makes any sense, but since using it I seem to be breaking out a bit but I am sticking with it because I review the products but also It has amazing ingredients that I hopeful its going to work in all ways it claims to.

I feel like this has been smoothing my skin out and leaving a glow but I have noticed a few more spots than usual, but then that could be down to a number of different things as I have been feeling unwell recently. (sad face)

The ingredients in this is something I have definitely not tried in a cream before, Kale, Watercress, Almond milk (among others too). It sounds like something you would pop into a fruit & veg juice or smoothie, not onto your face. Like I said I'm still giving this time to work as there is just something about this that I love.

This is the Unani Illuminate Cleansing Milk, this came as a full size product which I can say will last me a long time as you only need to use a small pea sized amount! This is a cleansing milk that helps to remove makeup, restore your skins elasticity and leave a soft smooth finish. It definitely removes make up, not so great on eye make up but 100% your face products. I cant say I have noticed a difference in the texture of my skin but it does leave my skin free from product.

Like I said earlier I only use a tiny amount. I apply this onto damp skin and massage in for a good couple of minute's and then follow by rinsing with cold water and a muslin cloth.

OK, so you all know how I feel about sheet masks, there just not my thing at all. Every time I receive one of these in my box I just know I wont get on with them. I know I shouldn't judge a product before I try them but its the one skincare product that just doesn't agree with me!

This is the Manuka Honey face mask by Vitamasques, it is a little bit different to the other formula's I have tried before, this was more of a watery mask where as the others I had tried were more of a gel like texture with a lot of extra product inside the packaging.

This was a little easier to apply however it says to apply the mask tightly over your skin. Once I had applied it, it would stay put for a minute and then all of sudden it would loosen around the chin area so it just wouldn't stay put. I am starting to think it is just my face that doesn't like these sheet masks!

Unfortunately I didn't notice any difference in my skin, it states it will nourish the skin but I'm sorry to say that I just couldn't tell any difference at all.

That is everything in the January box, what are your thoughts?

This wasn't my favourite box at all but that's just my opinion, lets hope February is a good one!!

GLOSSYBOX REVIEW - JAN 2017

Wednesday, 1 February 2017
